Frat boys spit on wounded vet, urinate on American flag

This is definitely not paranormal, but disgusting none the less. I saw a post come across my pages by Fox Affiliate news and it made me sick to think that college students today have so much less respect for our country then they used to.Two major universities are being investigated over accusations fraternity members taunted wounded war heroes. The article went on to state that they urinated publicly over and American flag, spit on wounded war heroes, and spit on the wounded warriors service dog.

The incident took place on April 17th, by the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity members from the University of Florida and Emory University, has infuriated residents of Panama City. Panama city holds a vacation package all expenses paid for the members and members families  of “Wounded Warriors”.http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/

A direct quote “They were being treated like the Vietnam veterans were treated,” said Linda Cope, the founder of the Warrior Beach Retreat.

Panama Beach community supports and runs the package deal for the wounded vets and under the guidance of “Wounded Warriors program. The local charity provides an annual all-expense-paid vacation for more than a 100 combat-wounded warriors and their spouses or caregivers. All of the expenses are covered by Panama City Beach residents and businesses.

This happened because of two fraternities causing heartache for these warriors and that should never have happened – never happened,” Cope said. “Shame on them. There was no excuse.”

Although the fraternity has expelled the members in question a message is sent that these frat places have always had a hay day of hate, partying and dispiteful circumstances.another report and direct quote from the  fraternity president”“There is no doubt that some of our members engaged in ugly and unacceptable behavior,” Executive Director Laurence Bolotin wrote in a statement. “Their actions have no place in ZBT or anywhere, and they will not be tolerated.Bolotin issued a personal apology to the veterans and their families as well as the Warrior Beach Retreat organization – calling the behavior disgusting.Bolin went on to further say”I can only imagine the pain and indignity of enduring this behavior,” he wrote. “I want to assure you that it is not representative of our students or our university and we will make every effort to learn more, take appropriate action and prevent similar incidents from occurring again.”This community is so patriotic and supportive,” she said. “The fraternities are learning a hard lesson. You don’t treat these men and women who have sacrificed so much for your freedom like that.”

Panama City is well known for it’s patriotic feel, they support and endorse “The United States military and their families.

Tyndall Air Force Base is in panama City, so these frat boys disrespect a family in a city that is where our air force is based out of? In my opinion the frat boys should be charged with a federal crime so they can not get a good job that would be a lesson learned, but doubtful it will ever happen, it should be charged as a hate crime, what if the military  vets were black then it could be  considered a hate crime. In my humble opinion. there needs to be stricter laws that will make these asses think twice about disrespecting the very country that sent there sorry asses to college in the first place.
